Automating Cast workflow and ticketing
Disney employees depended on manual handling to route and close internal requests. Turnaround was unpredictable and there was little visibility into where a request had stalled.
Context
The problem
Disney employees depended on manual handling to route and close internal requests. Turnaround was unpredictable and there was little visibility into where a request had stalled.
- Workflow automation
- Internal tooling
Constraints
What shaped the solution
The boundaries that made this a design problem rather than an implementation task.
- Real operational users on internal staff systems, so the automation had to be dependable rather than a prototype
- Had to integrate with existing internal platforms instead of replacing them
Approach
Decisions and trade-offs
What I did, and why, rather than a list of tasks.
- Automated the request workflow and the ticketing lifecycle so routing and closure happened without manual intervention
- Integrated the internal systems so a request carried its own state end to end rather than being re-keyed
- Worked directly with the internal teams consuming the tooling so the automation matched how they actually worked

This work has no recorded, verifiable figures attached to it, so none are claimed. The scope and decisions above are accurate; the numbers are simply not available.

Open to new opportunities
I take on a small number of engagements alongside my current role, and I am open to the right full-time position. Either way, the work that suits me best is owning a hard problem end to end and dealing directly with the people it affects.

- Payments, promotions and booking integrations
- Automation of manual operations
- Fixed-scope audit or architecture review

Full-time role
Technical Lead or Architect positions where I am accountable for delivery and work directly with stakeholders — the same shape as my current Disney engagement, which has held for over five years.

- Enterprise API and platform ownership
- Stakeholder-facing delivery leadership
- Building and mentoring delivery teams
